Sheep Book Review: Sinner's Heart + Giveaway!

Sinner's Heart (Hellraisers, #3)
By: Zoe Archer
Kensington Publishing Corp.
Released: April 2, 2013

Plot:
Abraham Stirling, Lord Rothwell, was a fighter once, a soldier in the Colonies. But Bram returned to London with more nightmares than tales of glory. Now he drowns his senses in the arms of countless women, while his friends, the Hellraisers, ensure he needn't sin alone.

Until, that is, the Devil himself grants them each a wish, undoing their camaraderie as they explore their wicked powers. Bram finds himself magically bound to Valeria Livia Corva, the sensuous priestess who raised the Devil the first time—and died to send the demon back.

She may be a ghost, but Livia is no angel. The raw passion she witnesses in Bram's memories isn't much different from her behavior when she had a body to enjoy. But it doesn't make it any easier to convince Bram to become a warrior again, lest all London burn. And the fierce desires reawakening within her might just start the blaze...

I've yet to read a PNR that's paced to the world of Victorian London. I found this both refreshing and odd at the same time. Do we stop for tea in the drawing room or whip out a spell book and cast some demons to hell? Maybe both, at the the same time. Regardless of my confusion of the era, I enjoyed this tale. It's romance for the Pride and Prejudice fans and dirty demon girt for the paranormal lovers.

We jump into this tale and follow the saga of Bram and Livia, the two most unlikely companions if ever there were. A ghost from ancient times and a sexual lowdown lush. Yet thrust they are and with the weight of the towns fate on their shoulders, it's either man up or get dead.

Being a slave to the devil doesn't sound like a party in a box to me but hey, I'm not a power hungry type of gal. Whatever the reasons, we have a group of men who wanted power and money, thus they made a deal with the king of evil himself. After finding out things aren't always whore-house-roses and money-tree-kisses, these men slowly start to come back around to the light side. And honestly, we have better cookies anyways.

The devil wont make leaving him easy, but a good battle is never won the easy route. Personal challenges and major heartache are the motivators that can bring this band of rowdy brothers together to fight this battle.

With romance and passion to make everyone happy, this was entertaining enough to keep me going until the end.
