Darby O’Rielly may look like a shy, quiet bookstore owner who waits up at night to make sure her fun loving little sister Rowan makes it home. But that would be a bad assumption if you intend to threaten her family and loved ones. If the deadly magic this witch possesses is unleashed, the whole neighborhood better watch out.

When two handsome brothers move next door, love blooms. Devon and Blake aren’t just hot, they’re vampires hunted by a man with unlimited wealth and vengeance.

With these two atypical couples together, mayhem ensues. Darby is forced to use her new-found magic when hunters snatch Rowan to lure the brothers to their demise. A wreckless decision by the enemy transforms Rowan into a werewolf, throwing her new love Blake into a downward spiral. Werewolf terrors from childhood paralyze his judgment and send him packing, leading Rowan into the arms of a wolf named Dean who helps ease her into the new life she’s forced to embrace.

Darby O'Rielly and her sister Rowan are witches that have no real understanding of their powers. Rowan is the carefree spirit while Darby owns a book store and is the responsible sister.

Devon and his brother Blake are vampires and are on the run, marked for death and have no idea why. When they move into a house they find themselves living next door to two witches who have no idea how to use their powers.

I haven't read many Urban Fantasy Romance novels because there's usually more action than romance in them but this story had a nice balance of both, which I really liked.

Things start out very much like real life where two gorgeous guys move in next door and hook up with the two sisters who have the hots for them. Ok, just because two gorgeous vampires have never moved in next door to me doesn't stop me from fantasizing that they might...one day.

One of the funniest characters in this story is Harry the snoring, belly rub loving, klepto kitty, who likes to steal and hoard things he finds in the neighborhood. Harry turns out to have a very interesting part in this story, something that I haven't seen done in a book before.

Things seem to be going really good until some evil guy comes after the brothers and kidnaps Rowan. That's when a huge twist in this story happens and things will never be the same after that. Darby finds out she has more witchy power inside her than ever realized and puts it to good use to help save her sister.

While most books have 1 couple as the main characters, this book seems a little different because it really has two couples. The two brothers and the two sisters, so there are actually two distinct main stories going on at the same time. I didn't have a problem with that, in fact I thought it made for an interesting story until I got to the end. This book has a cliffhanger ending and there's nothing I dislike more than a book that leaves me with a cliffhanger and unanswered questions.

If Blake and Rowan had been secondary characters in this story, I could maybe understand leaving the completion of their story for the next book but they weren't written as secondary characters. They were written as main characters just as much as Darby and Devon were and so their story should have had an ending in this book. But since the story made me laugh, kept me engaged and I found it entertaining, I won't let that naughty cliffhanger change my overall rating of this book.

If you like werewolves, witches, action and adventure then you'll like this book.

I give this book 4 sheep
