About the Author:
I am a multi-genre Contemporary Romance author and professional smart alec. My work has been recognized by the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and was selected as a finalist in the 2013 PNWA’s Literary Competition in the Romance category.
Raised between Southern California and Oahu, I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1993 and although I love it here, my heart belongs to the Islands - it always will. When I'm not in, what I loving call “book-mode”, I multitasks life between my hilarious adult special needs daughter, super smexy husband of 11 years, two dogs, and sweating out stress in a hot yoga studio. Shop-a-holic is a term I've been called often, I love carbs, and am Twitter and Facebook addicted.

Oh a new to me author!!! :)

damn...I'll get one up
DeleteSVC Ricketts sounds like an author with a vibrant life! Balancing writing, family, and hot yoga is quite the feat. I bet she needs some downtime after all that. Maybe a quick escape into the snowy slopes with Snow Rider 3D would be a fun way to unwind. Her island roots must make those Northwest winters feel extra long. I'm intrigued to see what romantic tales she spins, fueled by her diverse experiences.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true that learning something new (or even just honing a skill) can feel like a total rollercoaster. There are days when everything clicks, and others when you just feel like you're spinning your wheels. It kinda reminds me of playing doodle baseball, haha. You think you've got the timing down, then whiff! But you adjust, try again, and every so often you actually connect and knock it out of the park. Thanks for the reminder to embrace the process!
ReplyDeleteRelate so much to the juggling act of writing, family, and trying to stay sane! The "book-mode" thing is real. And the hot yoga for stress – genius! I've been trying to find something similar, because sometimes I feel like I'm about to drop everything. Speaking of dropping things…anyone else get ridiculously stressed trying to keep the egg balanced in Eggy Car? It's my go-to when I need a quick distraction, even though I sometimes rage-quit when I inevitably fail and make the egg "splat". Keep up the great work!
