Rusty Griswold takes his own family on a road trip to "Walley World" in order to spice things up with his wife and reconnect with his sons.

This is pretty much what you think it is. While I felt some of the jokes were a little forced, overall it is a laugh out loud movie experience. My 14 year old daughter was in tears and wants to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD.

It was cool seeing all the nods to the old movie and Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo make a cameo. It was kind of painful watching Chevy...he has not aged well! There is a surprise cameo from everyone's favorite Walking Dead actor.

And then there is Chris Hemsworth...sigh...he was looking real good, especially his "abs." This was one of the funniest scenes in the movie and unfortunately's a fake.

Is it worth the theater price? Depends on what you are looking for in a movie experience. Going with a bunch of friends or high school kids, yeah. But you won't be missing out if you wait for the DVD...

My daughter gives 5 Sheep but I'm going with...
3 1/2 "Rose kissing" Sheep

  1. Good to know because I love the ones with Chase but when I saw this trailer I was like, "NO!".

  2. I was afraid this was going to be super silly, but if Chase is making a cameo, I'm in when it comes to DVD. Great review!
