Mist Unveiled (Elemental Desire, #1)
by Nancy Corrigan

Cat has one love in her life—science. Facts rule her, not passion. At least it doesn’t until an unknown deadly virus claims her sister’s life. Cat’s quest for answers takes her to Greenland and drops her into the arms of the one man who sways her devotion from logic to passion. Rune stirs her lusts, ignites her desires and fuels her carnal cravings, but he isn’t simply a lover, nor is he human. He’s a weapon, one that has the potential to save or destroy her.
Rune, a child of the mist, awakens into a world hovering on the verge of destruction. Rising temperatures have released his enemies from their frozen prison without his knowledge. He searches for them but finds Cat, a human with the power to save him and the world. He hungers for her—blood, body and soul. Every moment of shared passion convinces him of the truth—she’s his greatest treasure, one he’ll die to keep.

Cat lost her sister to an unknown deadly virus. Desperate to find answers she takes a journey to Greenland to locate the source. What she finds may not be the answers she thought possible or imagined. Cat is a woman of science and facts not myths and old legends and especially not passion. That is until she literally runs straight into Rune. The impact was a climatic explosion that has no end.

Rune, a Warden of mist has been sleeping for a very long time. Rune awakens into a different modern world where he finds the fire daemons have escaped from their ice prison. In his quest to find the demons and destroy them a beautiful woman runs right into him. Has he been asleep so long that he can’t control his sexual desires or is it the woman? Who is she?

Ragnarök, a Norse Mythology was not something I was familiar with until now. Reading Mist Unveiled intrigued me enough to take the time and look it up. It is quite interesting how Corrigan has bought mythology of yesterday and interlaced it with Science of today i.e. global warming melting the icy imprisonment which led to the fire daemons escape.

The immediate intensity between Rune and Cat was staggering. Cat’s head strong character and the need for facts over passion were portrayed throughout and you could relate even when it was time to throw science to the way side. Rune thought with a different body part sometimes a bit too much, erotica is an understatement. Not sure exactly I could relate but he is male, what more can I say. I did enjoyed the story however the erotica in some scenes overpowered what was actually going on that I would skip ahead to get back to where they left off before they jumped in.

All in all if you like Norse Mythology with a lot of passion and I mean a lot then this is the series for you.
