Top 10 Reasons why I loved Star Trek Into the Darkness (and one reason why I didn't)

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Director: J.J. Abrams
Writers: Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman
Stars: Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldan

132 min - Action | Adventure | Sci-Fi
16 May 2013 (USA)

After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

Is this not a sexy cast?! (Rhetorical, cause... um, yeah!)

I won't beat around the bush here. I LOVED this movie. I am not a big classic Star Trek fan so I didn't care about any deviation from cannon. I laughed, I cried, I cheered.

(and yes, I can count, just go with it)

13. Kick-starting your spaceship.

12. the look when you hear "put on a red shirt"

11. A daddy's love

10. Metaphor McCoy, Dammit!

9. lots of s*** gets blown up... duh!

8. Never Trust a Vulcan

7. Kahn is a sexy-beast, and that voice!

6.  Admiral Cock-blocking

5. Oh, snap moment.

4. Betrayal of the highest order

3. "James Tiberius Perfect-hair"

2. Don't piss off Sulu

1. those eyes! duh! Have you seen them?

The one thing I didn't like about the movie
1. the mouth breather beside me. Wrong movie Darth Vader!

This is a must see for any action movie fan!
5 "Respect the Chair!" Sheep
Sharon Stogner

Just proving my point in #7, s-e-x-y-b-e-a-s-t!

  1. Oh my God, Kahn is so freaking sexy. Every single time he opened his mouth my ovaries... BOOM.
My best friend and I saw it together and I kept whispering to her how hot Benedict Cumberbatch is that I think she got a bit irritated at me. But still. Yum.

  5. I would have preferred that they do a new story instead of messing with an old one. I love that these actors play true to the performances of the old ones, and I loved the humor and action. However, it makes no sense to have a bunch of fresh-out-of-the-academy cadets playing "senior" officers. It also made the twisted death scene in the reactor so less poignant than the original. Those two don't really know or understand each other. Just look at what happened early in the movie! To this day, I cry whenever I see the original scene! It just didn't have that kind of emotion in this movie. I did love Cumberbatch as a villain though. :-)

  6. Loved the movie and as a longtime fan of the Star Trek franchise, I am enjoying the new twist on rewriting history these more recent films have brought to the arena. Just think of how many more years we can get new Star Trek thrills. I'm so game, lets roll! Thank you for bringing out all the right points ;)
