Peter Parker runs the gauntlet as the mysterious company Oscorp sends up a slew of supervillains against him, impacting on his life.

This was everything I hoped it would be and a little something I had no idea was coming. I haven't read any Spider-man comics so I wasn't in the know about this story line. There was a lot of campy humor and kick ass action. The super-villain Electro was super cool and a character you felt sympathy for.

What I wasn't expecting was how dark the story was going to get. Punch you in the gut stuff. If you have sensitive kids this might be a little tough for them. I admit I teared up and so did a lot of the adults around me. I brought my 13 year old daughter and her response was "let's go home and watch the Titanic and cheer ourselves up." <G> She loved the movie as a whole and so did my husband and I.

This movie is exactly what you see in the trailers and if you enjoy this type of movie make an effort to see it on the big screen. Be sure to stay after the initial credits for an X-men preview.

4 "all we have is hope" Sheep

  1. I love watching the X-Men and Iron man and Thor movies and such, but Spiderman leaves me completely cold.

  2. I agree with Aurian. I did watch Spiderman with our boy but I was not very impressed.
