The world's most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
What a lot of freaking fun! I went with my husband and 13 year old daughter and we all loved it. Especially my daughter. I think this is her first Godzilla experience. The movie is one big action scene and you will be cheering for the bestest monster ever.
People have complained that the the human part of the story was weak...the story is about Godzilla kicking monster ass! End of story <G>. It is exactly what the trailers show you. I am still all giddy.

I can't for it to come out on disk so I can get it from my library!!!!! I want to see this so bad and I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun :) First thing my daughter said when we left was "We are buying this when it comes out!"
DeleteI was hoping to see more Godzilla fighting Mutos, but it was still awesome - waaaaay better than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteI wish there had been more Godzilla too! I have a monster crush on him :) I loved the move he did with his tail to the male Mutos
DeleteI'm so glad to hear you liked it. I am a Godzilla junkie. I loved the old movies and used to watch them almost every weekend, lol. I was so excited when I saw that the previews looked like the old ones and not disappointing like the one several years ago which wasn't Godzilla. :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of mixed reviews for this. More negative than positive. But I can't wait to see it. I'm sure I'll love it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because I went in with no expectations, but the fight scenes have you cheering for Godzilla and when he finally lets loose the fire?! Whoa!
DeleteI loved this movie! I read a lot of negative reviews for it but decided to go see it anyways. I'm so glad I didn't listen to those negative reviews. I thought the movie had just the right amount of human interaction and the suspense and pacing was great in my opinion. I sort of liked that Godzilla wasn't shown right away. All the teases and glimpses of him throughout the movie was totally worth it when he was finally shown in all his glory! It made that scene even more awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. The movie is about Godzilla the people are just part of that :) Sounds like you have the same monster crush as I do :)
DeleteHollywood loves a remake, as in theory it's less of a gamble – if a film was successful before, then it should be again. Most of the times, this approach works.
ReplyDeletetrue, and with CGI and other technological improvements older movies can be seen in a new light.
